Description
Tullamore is a small town in Ireland where the distillery was established in 1829 and D.E.W. are the initials of one of the greatest distillers Ireland has ever had, Daniel Edmund Williams. From this heritage comes Tullamore D.E.W. the original triple blend Irish whiskey known the world over for its smooth and gentle complexity. Three spirits come together to give a balance of flavour like no other: grain whiskey gives sweet flavours. malt whiskey gives fruit flavours and pot still whiskey gives spice flavours. Triple cask-matured for depth and balance, Tullamore D.E.W. is aged over a period of several years in traditional refill barrels, ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry butts to produce a whiskey with balanced notes of honey, caramel, toffee, citrus fruit and spice. A resoundingly popular and very approachable Irish blend.
